1.3.2024 OIREACHTAS ESSAY COMPETITION. STUDENTS NORTH AND SOUTH AMONG THE WINNERS. The winners of the second annual Oireachtas Essay Competition received their prizes today from Ceann Comhairle Sean O' Fearghail T.D. at a ceremony in Leinster House. Seven students from across the island accompanied by their parents/guardians and teachers received prizes amounting to 6.000 Euro for essays on the theme 'Parliamentary Politics Matters for Peace' Senior cycle students (5th and 6th Year) and AS/A Level students across the island of Ireland were invited to submit their essays in Irish or English.
